I've been thinking of upgrading since I have $75 in Amazon money. Can anyone recommend one that doesn't need to be reset daily when doing intensive downloading/uploading?

There are all sorts on Craigslist.
Linksys are fairly reliable, but the best are the ones you can load the open source linux firmware on which is often substantially more stable/robust.
