Default WTB: FR ABS Sensor

Another fatality of my driver side front bearing imploding appears to be the ABS sensor. Anyone have one laying around?

Thought I had a seller but he stopped responding to my PM's.

Talked to my bud at subarupartsdepot and he said that this ABS sensor is the same part number from MY02-MY07 WRX and STi...left side and right side should be the same so I just need one from a front corner.

Anybody got one laying around? I'll give you $40 for it.

I don't have a spare sensor, but I'm curious if your friend knows whether or not the SVX ABS sensor is compatible w/ the WRX/STi one. i.e. can an SVX sensor be installed in an STi hub?

My ABS light came on this morning and my car stopped engaging the ABS right before coming to a stop. Hopefully the sensor is still my only problem.

I assume you have, but just in case... Did they clean the ring and did you check the front of the sensor and the hole it goes in/through are clean/clear?

Hall effect sensors are ubber reliable unless physically damaged, but are susceptible to nearby metallic debris and debris in the ring.

The tone ring came into contact with the sensor. The coating on the face of the sensor has been scraped into and metal is exposed. The new axle came with a new tone ring.

They say all of their WRX/STi's within those years have the hubs removed and the ABS sensor goes with them. D&D have no WRX's or STi's. Guess I have to buy new.

Are you sure the sensor isn't the same for '02+ RS/TS/OBS/2.5i Imprezas? I know AAW has some of those left.

You're right, all Impreza's with a build date of 9/2000 to 6/2006 will work.

Unfortunately AAW says they have none with hubs. They do have a Legacy Outback with the sensors but it's a different part number in the the Legacy's and Outbacks.

Have you at least tried another sensor to be sure that's the issue?

No, but it's all chewed up at the end (from the tone ring) and the ABS light was coming on during the failure at RFR.
