We should almost just hold a drift event there, haha.

Good pics! Makes me want to get out there.

When's the next autocross? And would anyone be interested in spotting for me so I can take some pictures?

Wait, what? Autox? Truckee? This past weekend? Good thing I was out fishing on the river drinking beer bored out of my mind! Since when do you guys have events out here? Tell me there's more.

^This was our first and I would think that we'll have more next year, but the last event of the year is later this month at RFR's "Peanut".

Great pics and vids, Matt!

Yeah, my buddy's on Truckee Fire there at the airport and called me up, telling me there's a bunch of subarus railing around the tarmac.....I was down at the river, getting snowed on, not catching any fish. Funny. Hopefully more events next year. I might even quit talking about it and run some events. How was the surface on tire wear and grip? Seems like there was some dirtness.

Which surface? ...there were several. The two major surfaces were slick pavement and gravely pavement. On Saturday, the gravely pavement offered very little traction which resulted in some awesome drifting. The slick surface offered much better traction, but according to Jim, on Friday, it was the opposite. Not sure about Sunday since I stayed home.

The "good" pavement wasn't that great on sunday because of the cold, but that would be the case with just about any surface. On saturday it was pretty nice- I wouldn't mind running events on a surface like that pretty often.

It's not as good as Stead IMO, but only because the area we can use is a little smaller, and it's a bit of a drive from Reno. But I was pretty happy with the site and would like to go back.

They weren't really an issue. It would be extremely difficult to unintentionally hit one.

my run sucked and smoke filled my car as the cones I carried 2/3rds of the run burnt under my car. Billowing smoke from the shifter makes you panic. I need to post a pic of that cone I destroyed
