Well, unless these are strickly track tires, go with the Bridgestones. I presume that you can get the fronts in the correct size for either tire? And if you plan to autocross at all, then definitely get the Bridgestones, because they are legal for street tire PAX, while the RA1s are not competitive against race tires. Also, I suppose your real question was about if you should go go for the wider tread, but the difference between those two sizes will be negligible. The RA1s are grippier but the slightly increased width isn't a factor in that.

17s or 18s? 255 Azenis 615s? Are you just doing rears, or both ends? What is/are the OE size(s)?

I think the RE 01 is the best street tire I've ever driven on. Not only is it grippy, it's quiet, smooth and predictable.

If you're willing to spend the big dollars to run R-compounds on the street, Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, hands down. Just don't drive on 'em in the cold. Otherwise, RE01R's are supposed to be awesome... I've got a set, but they're unmounted so I've yet to drive on 'em.

hmm all right.. i was leaning towards teh reo1r's anyway. Oh btw i have OEM nsx wheels.. i think they are a stag set 16's in the front and 17's in the rear.. and i believe tire rack has the reo1r's for the nsx. i guess my real question had to do with the width.. 255 vs 245. the t1r is a slightly wider tire.. and i wasn't sure if that would have any effect on the grippiness.. anyway thanks. i'll look into orderin a set when i return to reno

Mike, You should get these new 5Zigen ZR+ 520 wheels to go with your new Bridgestone RE-01Rs.
