This are on-going threads about if they do or not. I guess some people claim around 5hp gains. But I don't know.

It's worth it if you have a big stereo or underdrive pullies, but doesn't make the car faster.

if anything just replace the factory ground from the battery,if this is for a car that has lots of rust and is needing new grounds great mod

I did a little research and the A'pexi grounding kit is the only one that would add horse power

http://www.apexi-usa.com/news.asp?ID=62

looks nice, even 8.5 hp

I've read a few posts on these things and it seems that some have a good effect form it and others gain nothing that they can tell. (seat of pants)
the people that seem to notice the most are the ones with older cars like 80's rx-7's (like mine) to like 94-5 time frame cars. however what could it hurt to try it and see for yourself. If it works great if not sell it.

I never said it works on DSMs and I've never seen a DSM with a "grounding kit" installed. I just said that I might like to try it, and being that some wrx guys seem to install grounding kits on their cars, I'd thought I'd ask the experianced.

However, I wouldn't recommend buying a grounding kit. Just make one yourself. You can get an identical setup via any electronics/radio store.

That's how I did it... but I felt no gains, and it was illegal in STX, so off it came.
