I had an opportunity to drive one of the 05 Lagacy turbos, and i must say i don't think it pulled as hard as my WRX. I know they're rated a 250hp, but i also know their a heavier car. Does anyone know what they weigh, or what the performance stats are? Is it faster than a WRX? Also what has anyone else had an chance to drive one, and what did you think?

It's also got taller gears than the WRX. Did you drive the 5 speed or auto?

Did you drive a Manual or an Auto? The curb weight of the LGT manual is 3355 which is 200 more then the manual WRX (if I recall correctly).

Its only 23hp more then the WRX, and with an extra ~200 lbs, I'll bet thats where you feel the power difference.

Plus it's quieter and less connected. I felt the same way when I drove it.

I felt the outback i drove was more connected. Better steering responce. The steering rack bushings/connection is actually different/upgraded with the 05 Legacies, not to mention a smaller wheel and revised steering ratio/gears.

The Lagacy i drove was a 5 spd. It was a really nice car, i bet with a few mods it would fly.

There will be a 350-hp Legacy and Outback coming out. 2006 I believe, but might be 2007.
