i have a 05 sti im thinking of ugrading some things how do u think this would work out
-20G turbo -aps or gt spec header and up pipe -new injectors, fuel pump |

20g would make the car a beast. You don't have to get headers but if you want to run an EWG you would need them. I dont believe the STi needs an uppipe but I'm sure an aftermarket one would flow much better. Injectors are a must you could probably run 750cc or 800cc (leaving you some headroom) and most commonly a Walbro 255 Fuel pump. While you are at it I would toss in a FMIC or at least a HUGE TMIC. I assume you have a TBE and EM...

- TD05-20G (great spool on an STi motor, but not quite the top-end that you'd get with a TD06-20G), turbo needs a rebuild since the compressor wheel ate some rocks, and I'd be willing to do the rebuild before selling the turbo. - Gruppe-S headers, coated, tapped for EGT and O2 sensors. Great sounding header, helps torque, in great condition... it just won't clear my new oilpan so I'm selling it. - Helix 675 top feed injectors (not sure if the '05 STi uses top or side feed... probably side feed unfortunately), these are plenty big for the TD05-20G. You'll just need a new Walbro 255, and like Nick said, a bigger intercooler would be highly recommended, whether it's a FMIC or just a larger top-mount. And again like Nick said, that's assuming you've got an exhaust and engine management that can be tuned for all these bits.

With a good tune your stock internals should be fine. But that is directly proportional to the amount of boost hammering into it and how you take care of it. 21-24 PSI should be "okay".

24psi is too much IMO. I've got a build motor and that's about what I'm planning on running. I'd stay in the 18-22 range tops on a stock bottom end.

^Yea I wasn't 100% positive on that peak number, I just went with what I usually see on NASIOC where everybody says don't exceed 25PSI on the stock block.

I think it largely depends on the turbo you are using to push that much PSI as well. Bigger turbos push way more air at the same PSI than a smaller turbo at the same PSI, but then again I might be wrong.

I agree with you on the numbers though Scott. For a 20g I wouldn't push any more than 22psi if that. Now on an Evo III 16g I wouldn't hesitate with meth to run 24 psi, but you still wont be making the power of the 20g, you will just be able to say "I run 24 psi"
