Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.
Default Wanted: DVI-VGA Adapter

Another Island/drawer/box of misfit parts request from Dean, so I don't want to hear about it.

If you have a spare DVI to VGA adapter lying around, let me know.

As always, my spare parts closet/room is open to others...

You mean the cable?

I think those are still in the $25 and up price range?

No, the little 1" long adapters that plug into the back of a video card with a DVI connector so you can use a classic analog VGA monitor.

They are about $3 shipped from eBay and $10 from PC-Club behind CompUSA that wants $20 for them and many people got 1 or 2 for free with their video card and aren't using them if they have a DVI capable display.

Austin has been hitting the moonshine again if this thread amuses him. Or maybe it is the fumes coming off of the swamp behind the house.

I may have one kicking around, but I'm not 100% sure what type of DVI it is.

Do you need DVI-I, DVI-D, or DVI-A? Single or Double?

BTW, Dean, when I'm cleaning out my parts closet for my imminent move, do you want every little thing, no matter how weird?

Sure. I want to be just like Tyson's dad when I grow up.

Van probably needs a DVI-D Single unless it is a really new card/display at which point he needs a Double.

The adapters are all DVI-A.

Yeah, moot point anyway. I just checked around the house and can't find one.
