Default When it rains, it . . . . Blown motor!

REALLY FUCKING SUCKS!!!!

Last night, I was on my way home from a friend's house in Carson City. And the motor in the 4Runner blew up.

Anyone got a line up on a 3.0L V6 for a Toyota?

Don't you mean, VG30DE? IIRC, that is the motor my 1991 Nissan Maxima had in it. Good strong V6, unlike the stupid boat anchor they put in the Toyotas.

I kind of like the idea of a Small block Chevy V8 swap myself.

I think you're right, VQ is the newer motor. But the Nissan 3.0s sucked in anything heavy like a truck or minivan. Not enough power for the fuel economy, or vice versa.

Yeah, there's a VQ and a VG. The VG is the older one, such as in the 300zx, with a timing belt SOHC. The VQ has a DOHC timing chain setup.

Either way, I can't afford to fix the damn thing. Which totally blows, because I still owe money on it.
