Default I didnt disappear again...

i was in the hospital for about 2.5 weeks.

it was a long story and really sucked. i was brain dead for a while. intubated for a whole week. heavily sedated. now i dont remember half of december and dam near all of january.

as soon as i get my car back ill be coming out again.

heres what i look like brain dead.

NG tube in the nose.
intubated in both lungs down my throat
BIS monitors on my head and temple.
chest tube and central line into my sternum.

i also had 7 total IV's on my left arm, 8 on my right. not all used at the same time but holes poked in me none the less. i had an IV line into femoral artery to check blood gases every hour. Not to mention my personal favorite, a foley catheter.

people talk about friends who were close to death. i have been as close to death as anyone really can be. without remsa technicians and ICU dr's i would be not so much here today. scares the shit out of me to be honest. not something i feel good about. it even feels wierd posting about it here. but im pretty scared to do normal things. i been in my house for the last 2 weeks trying to recover from the pneumonia that happens when youre intubated. i cant really breath and im trying to retrain my muscles to do shit they could always do before.

i hope to have my car back soon and be able to come out and eat a chili dog with u guys.

Holy Crap! Do they know what happen to cause this? Glad to hear that you are still alive after such an experience. You can still type better then me so your brain seems to be great. That sucks that you don't remember things. I feel I should tell you before anyone else does then, your wife left you for Scott Perry.

Holy shit! I thought you might of just had it with Subarus in general or something after cracking up your wheels on that curb a while back and just weren't coming around the forum. It sounds like you were really in the shit for a while, that sucks.

I'm glad to hear you're getting better. Like 100% said, you're not typing like you're brain damaged (well at least not more than the usual for this forum), so that's good news! Let us know if there's anything we can do for you. Get your ass back out to a meet soon!

What's with old people and the phrase "on the mend". Did 1886 just get all up in here or what?

thanks guys. itll be another few weeks before im strong enough to come out. my car is still locked up awaiting new rims. i went with p45r 18x9.5 rotas. should look intresting. thanks for all the kind words. its strange now. people say they are changed by stuff like this. but everything has changed. nothing tastes the same. nothing smells or looks the same. kinda sucks how i didnt want things to change and got forced into the situation.

i was supposed to send some guy exhaust on the nasioc forums and i went into the hospital a day later. he waited like 2 days and filed a claim with paypal. they gave him his money back and took it from me cause i didnt respond. now hes crying like a baby and there is a scammer thread over there about me. sucks, but what can i do. hes got his money back so i guess theres nothing more for me to do.

^That really sucks. I am sure that someone here if not this thread in general can clear that whole mess up.

Those p45r are sweet rims. Very popular with the time attack folks, simply 'cause they're so damn wide. Plus they're kinda "classic JDM" looking. I'd totally rock those if I was willing to spend the cash on 18" race tires.

As far as NASIOC... just post up your story, let him know you're bummed that the deal fell through, but at least he has his money back so no harm no foul. But as always on NASIOC, be humble or OT will catch wind and do their best to ruin your day... and they're getting pretty good at it.

I found the thread. Unfortunately, people don't seem to care that he was sick and calling it "just another scam"

Sucks man

Damn Dude...I wondered where you went. I hope your recovery is coming along and you can settle in to normal life again soon. If you need anything while you re-coop, like a ride anywhere or whatever, just give me a call, I'm right around the corner after all.

Yeah, they will look sweet on your black car too, especially the flat black.. I've owned a lot of different Rota wheels in the last few years, and I notice the P45's are the beefiest, most balanced and well built yet. I really do like them a lot.

I didn't see the thread... but I'm curious how it's a "scam" if Phil still has his parts, and the other guy still has his money. That's not a scam, that's just a deal that fell through. Regardless of the extenuating circumstances, I can see why the guy might be upset but he shouldn't be angry and screaming "scammer!"
