Default Turbo oiling

I am looking for the official name of the oil line that goes from the front of the passenger side head to the back of the motor and than connect to the oil inlet of the turbo. This is for a 05 sti FYI

I may be confused by your description, but I don't think there's a line that runs that way. I think the line is actually from an oil galley at the back of the head and then splits near the turbo with a banjo-bolt fitting that runs to the turbo bearing, and another line that runs to the front to supply oil to the passenger side AVCS. But I'm just trying to remember that off the top of my head after not looking at a motor for a long while.

As far what it's called... hell if I know.

i think your description is better than mine! i believe it does come from the avcs. there are 2 banjo bolts i believe and also a thread at the furthest end of the avcs that connects to the turbo via steel braided line (the line came with my rotated kit)

sperry i think we both are thinking of the same thing however i have no idea what its called and i believe there are like three different ones depending on the year. if i have the name i could get subaru on the right track and give them my vin for the right one. thanks

Yeah, I think that's the part. I'd suggest checking out subaruparts.com since they've got a parts lookup system with drawings, but they only have the '02 wrx in the system. Since it doesn't have avcs, the part on the wrx may be named something different than the sti part.

You could always go down to Lithia and talk to Don or Gaynel. They've helped me look stuff up by picture a ton of times. But then again I also usually buy it there too.

www.opposedforces.com has a pretty useful parts lookup system posted.
