Thank god these won't fit mine - I would be struggling with the decision. Look clean and fresh. Good luck!

Ok, 34 views and not one bite....Am I asking too much?
Retail (new) you are probably in over $2200, you'd still be in less than half of retail after getting the one fixed. I always thought half price or less for used parts is a pretty good deal.

You could be selling them for $200... but if no one needs coilovers, you still might not get someone to buy them... especially if they need repair. A lot of people don't want the hassle of getting something fixed even if they're getting a better deal because of it. Double so since the problem isn't well explained.

You might have better luck splitting out the EDFC, especially if that's what's broken.

PS: I'd buy them w/o the EDFC for around $600 if I knew I'd be able to convert them to work on my SVX... but I'm just not willing to spend any money on the car right now what with the new Outback we just bought and not knowing exactly how hard it'll be to convert STi suspension to my SVX.

Ok, I can see where you're coming from.
As far as the problem, since I didn't install them on my car that was all the previous owner told me. If I don't get any bites in the next couple weeks I'll probably suck it up on the credit card and get them fixed, since it sounds like that may make them easier to sell. Is there any way to check them off the car to see what is really wrong (either edfc or the actual strut)??

No idea. I mean, if you can look at them and it's obvious, well then the problem is obvious. If you hook up the EDFC to a battery, you can probably test all that off the car.

I just assumed you already knew what was busted since you suggested how much is was going to cost to fix.

No, I don't know what's broken. I just looked at their site and they have an overhaul listed for $100, then $125 listed ("when the revalving"). Don't know what their bad grammar is referring to other than if you were maybe going to have them revalve it to custom spec. So probably $100 plust shipping both ways. Don't know if any extra parts are needed on top of the "overhaul" parts.

If the EDFC is what's broken, rebuilding the seals in the struts is a) unnecessary and b) won't address the problem. My guess is that "Once off, can be adjusted manually by hand" implies the struts are fine, and there's something wrong w/ the EDFC actuator.

These are still for sale, price has been dropped for a quick sale.

Looking to unload them so I can get some goodies for my new toy.

They sat in the garage all winter and I never did have them checked out to see what is wrong.
