62.6g x 0.002 = 0.16
powder = 0.16
bullet / projectile = 0.25
for a grand total of about $0.73 per round to reload.

Now granted this is for my 264 win mag, results of price tend to very with powder type and bullet selection used, and if you buy new brass every time you reload. I generally use my brass about three to four times before throwing them in the dumpster.

Now a box of equavilant factory loads for my rifle are generally about $38 for a box of twenty or $1.90 per round. As illustrated aboves, its a lot cheaper to reload your own ammo rather then buying factory ammo. Plus with your reloads you can tailor them to your rifle to make it shoot better then any factory ammo could.

So, thats how I do it. I started when I was in college and poor.

Well Dean. If you can find quality ammo for cheaper than what is mentioned above. I might be interested. Or, if you find cheaper components, I might be interested as well.

New Brass: $31.98/50 = .64 Unless you were dividing the cost, your deal is way better.

Looks like new rounds can be had for <$30/25 but don't know about shipping. http://www.rrarms.com/catalog.php?prod=AX2642#

And, if I need sniper backup, Señor Cheap Bastard quickly becomes... "Would depleted uranium rounds work better? Money is no object guy"

That should be, ~$30 / 20 not 25.

48.9C a case. But since you can use them 3-5 times, you can distribute the cost. In my earlier post, the cost of brass was much cheaper. Brass, copper, and other components have gone up in price since last year. 4 times in the case of copper.

40c a case. Since 264 WinMag brass is hard to come by, I use 7mm RemMag brass. Basically, Remington took the 264 and necked it up 0.5mm to create the 7mm Mag. There is even an article in this months "Shooting Times" about the 7mm, the author states that he has a box of the first wildcat cartridges that were sent to Remington as proof samples. All of the cases are headstamped 264 Win Mag. So, back to the 7mm mag brass, I just run them through my 264 Full Lenght resizing die, and then trim to the correct lenght. Been doing it for 5 or 6 years, and have never had a problem. Plus, any time I run into people at the range shooting 7mm Mag, I ask if they keep their brass. If not, I ask if they wouldn't mind letting me have it. Most of the time they will let me have it for free.
