) - which was interesting because when I returned to grid, I was better able to analyze where I drove, and think about where I wanted to put the car closer to the cones. I think there's much merit in what you suggest Kevin. | |

I'm just repeating things Dean has said many times that I didn't give enough creedence to until I actually did them.

Anyone else notice that the top 6 cars in open PAX were all on race tires for at least part of the season? That damn street tire modifier is really ruining it for the folks on race tires, instead of dominating the region they're just trouncing it.

I know. I'm planning on getting race tires next year so that I can tumble down the PAX standings.

Finish #4 on novice is not too bad, I'm happy even I'm not a novice. I wish I have race tires but 1-2 auto-x a year not gonna do it. Good thing I'm not running in AS everybody under 49 sec. I have my roll bars on order. Next year I hope to do more PDX.

Maybe I should keep my all seasons and buy some race tires next year... too bad they are like 1200 a set for my car haha. Street tires are more fun anyways.

You'd be better off going summer and snows than all-seasons and race tires.

Snapped a few pix right before lunch on saturday. They're not spectacular since I was shooting all the way from the fence, but they make halfway-decent action shots.
