Cruise-aru! Tell your friends, I'd be curious to see how many people actually show up!

What: A cruise in your Subaru, whether it is turbo’d or N/A. No matter what year or model.
When: Nov. 21st at UNR by the intramural fields at 9 am.
Where: We will be driving from Reno to Auburn to Placerville, to S. Shore, to Incline, to Reno (I80w to hwy 49 to hwy 50 to SR 28 to hwy 431 to I395N)

We will be making multiple food/scenic stops. We will be back in Reno between 3 and 4 pm.

Here's to hoping it's not snowing by then. That's a hairy route to take if there's snow over the passes.

This is true which if anything might take longer than expected. That is if we don't encounter road closures.

Im still ok with doing the drive if it snows the day before or something. That's why we love our AWD. However, if its going to crap that day, we'll probably have to plan for a different weekend.

I'd love to get pictures of this event, but I hate getting up any earlier than 10. Is there any way I could ride with someone so I could focus on picture taking?

Im sure there will be plenty of people to ride with. I know of at least 6 solos. If know one likes you that much, you can ride with me.

The Roomies and I have come up with a couple ideas for this:
we could stop at a state park off of 49 to take pictures and get some food at a deli close by or the gas station
we thought we should change the route a wee bit to go through Tahoe City so we can stop at Emerald Bay and take pics too
after that we could either go through Incline and play down 431 (I know some people will be coming from there), or striaght on to I80

Bueno?

I have a '66 Mercury Park Lane that has been in my family since new that is not currently operational but hopefully will be by next Hot August Nights.
