Alternator source? - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

Since the alternator in the Legacy might be on the way out, I thought I'd check to see if there are any suggestions for replacements besides the standard NAPA remanufactured units.

An online search led me to speedyperformanceparts.com, but I know nothing about their service record.

Any input?

Actually, Napa's your best bet... Khail works there and will hook you up. I went w/ the Napa reman'd unit for the SVX after my radiator leak steamed my alternator into malfunction.

I was just going to rebuilt it myself since it's not a difficult job, but with the price from Khail, it was barely more expensive to get a whole unit, and saved me shipping and *tons* of time.

For a 95 Legacy 2.2L, would run you about $106 + tax. Lifetime warranty at any NAPA in the country. Call me or come by if you need it, 689-4530.

Yeah, corner of Grove and Wrondel, south of Park Lane. I'll be here till at least 4PM, more likely 4:30.

I get here at 7am, but we don't open till 7:30. Or I could leave with my employee, we close at 5:30. Is that late enough?

No problem, remember to keep the receipt. If you ever have to warranty it somewhere besides my store you will need it.
