I can get the roller up to Reno again at some point, rental fee is $30. $10 of that goes to the club coffers. Part of the rest goes towards me buying dinner for the Reno resident who's dealing with loaning it out in Reno

If you could bring that sucker back Kevin I'd appreciate it. $30 is waaaaaay better than $100 or whatever a shop charges. I also don't want to do the bat method, but I will if I have to. The 225s rub HORRIBLY when people sit in the back.

Wanna bring down 4 wheels in the Miata?

I won't be around Saturday, but give me a call Sunday afternoon and I'll catch you on the way back up the hill.

No... how would I find out, besides just looking? To be honest I don't know that much about my car yet. Besides what general RS stuff I already knew.

4-way Moton dampers start at around $2,000... each, and those are just the dampers... no springs, no topmounts.

Then there's the stuff that top tier race teams use... easily $10,000 per corner.

To some (like me) $1600 is a tad bit outside my budget.

Expensive and beyond one's budget are two different things.

I guess... I mean to me it's expensive. AND outside my budget. It's all relative.

You can get a rough idea just by looking at the wheels while standing in front of or behind the car by like 20 feet. 1 degree of neg. camber is pretty easy to notice. You'll see that the top of the tires are closer together than the bottoms (in the rear, for example).

Instead of rolling my fenders, I got an alignment that got me -1.8 of camber all around. It's a bit excessive for a commuter car, but tire where seems fine so far (not that I've had enough time to say for sure) and handeling is noticeably better.

Alignments aren't cheap but you can save money by going to a place that gives you free re-alignments or just buy Corey some beer and see if he'll do it. Oh wait, you're like 9 years old nevermind.

Or just roll them.

Jonny's RS should be right around stock alignment specs. I got the car aligned right before we left Texas with the car and I didn't ask for anything different.

That might be a good idea to get a bit of negative camber dialed in all around before you roll the fenders. The reason I didn't try that was because that place that I had "free alignments for the life of the tires" wouldn't do anything but stock settings. I tried giving them the settings from Prodrive but that was a no-go.

The individuals recommending alignment as a fix aren't keeping the vehicle in mind. This is not a WRX, with big fenders. This is an RS, where a 215 can rub if the car is low. Especially for a street-driven car that's getting miles put on it, an aggressive rear camber setting is going to be a more expensive (both for the alignment, bolts if you need it, and continued tire wear) option than just clearing out the fenders a touch.

Just my opinion. Roll the fenders and remove the interference rather than trying to work around it for a street car. Alignment should be for handling, not tire clearance.

Yeah I want my tires to last as long as possible. I also want to keep the 225s on there. I think rolling the fenders would be the best thing. Thanks for the input.

A new Ferrari 550 Maranello (my personal fave!) for 100K is a tremendously good value, but also still EXPENSIVE! I was just saying that they're not exactly GIVING the TEINs away, but yes, they are amazing for the money you spend, and there are items out there that are WAY more!

For a regular dude, making regular wages, the listed $1780 for a TEIN flex kit for a GC chassis is a *lot* of money for something that's not a *need* !

Jonny, whatever you end up doing/needing, just let me know dude! You know I'm all about helping out the club! I can hook up alignments for dirt cheap, put in camber bolts, whatever!
