Naw, full rebuild w/ new TQ converter plus a rental car. Tranny shifts real nice now though, the car is a lot faster.

If someone tore up the front end of their bugeye, would $1000 be an excuse for not getting a non-bugeye front end a la Gary Sheehan?

It would be if it was their beater and they had better things to spend the money on like their condo. Also any bugeye that gets torn up should be sent to the junkyard not fixed.
