So I called up Exedy and talked to a guy in the tech support section named Evan. He races a wrx himself so I new I was on the phone with the right person. I asked if they made a change to the wrx clutch kit and he said they went from 6 springs to 4. He said they were receiving complaints about chatter and then did this to resolve those few complaints. I also asked him about clutch break in and he suggested to drive easy for 500 miles (no launching, speed shifting, etc.) and then I can drive it normally.

This thread kind of went away from flywheel resurfacing so can we merge this with my i can has new clutch thread.?
So, I have had a very slight leak on the right side of my transmission since I reinstalled it last time. It appears that I tore a little piece on the axle seal. I know there is a right side and left side seal but, my question is can I replace it right now without having to take the transmission apart?

I got 2 new seals and replaced them. It took about 5 minutes and was very much needed. When I picked up the new ones from Subaru I said "these can't be right, mine look nothing like that". Well that's because each of mine were missing an entire piece and also a little round spring thingy had come off of each of them and was floating around in my diff. I was able to get all the pieces out but it confirms that the shop did NOT replace my axle seals like they stated.

Either that (which is not unlikely) or whatever ruined your old axle seals wasn't fixed and ruined the new ones too.

They looked really old and the ruined part was on the outside. Also, the numbers on the seals didn't match the new ones that I got.
