Well you can do almost anything to car you want but it just puts you in a class which other people also do anything they want, and some of those people have a better car and more money than you do.

Most of us dedicated autocrossers had cats, at least until very recently when we determined they weren't required in 2 of our classes, so a few of us have switched. I still have both my factory cats unfortunately.
