I dunno about that... I'm using 241MB of RAM and 381MB of swap space right now to have 8 tabs open.

My little notebook usually runs out of gas around 5 tabs of media heavy or whatever sites.

Dude, its on the internet, and it has graphs. I don't know how much more true it can be.

On a purely anecdotal level, for me its using less memory on average every time I take a gander at it. I used to run around 150-180 or so in FF2. FF3 uses about 120 or so on average. Also, I haven't noticed a need to restart Firefox as much as I used to. Also, I use FF differently and open and close tabs all day long, rather than keeping a static set open for fun.

all's i know is firefox3 after it got installed it don't seem to make no difference least far's i can't tell on my computer

It's been running a lot faster on mine I'm just not all that sure it's using dramatically less memory.

Thank GOD for this shit! Not long ago, on my computer's advice, I downloaded the latest IE (version 7 or whatever the hell) WORST IDEA EVER!!! That was the crashin'-est program EVAR!
