Why does every thread these days turn into basically people text messaging back and forth? How about PMing each other? Or actually text messaging each other? Or just shutting the hell up for 10 minutes without responding to yourself.

Am I just old or something? When did message forums go all twitter?

...at least it's not in the tech forum!
