Left 4 Dead has such a stupid name.

I probably wouldn't even consider getting it, except that Valve is publishing it, and I don't think they know how to do me wrong. I was thinking of grabbing the demo on Steam this weekend, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I played it for about a 1/2 hour the other day and it was pretty much like a playable version of the movie 28 days later. I like it from the aspect that you have to play as a team and can't just wonder off because zombie swarms rush you and there is almost no way to fight them off alone. Your teammates also get tackled and need to be rescued or just left to die. I imagine that its going to get very repetitive so I don't think I would ever buy it.

I can see that your on a high after finding out that your keeping your job. The game is called left 4 Dead because the story is based on 4 characters that you and other people play as.

call of duty world at war is awesome

Gears of war 2 was fun untill i tried the multiplayer. It immediately went back to game stop for trade in

What turned you off about Gears multiplayer?

As for Mirrors Edge, I think I might rent it. I've played the demo and it seems like it will be an awesome game, but I can't buy anymore for a bit. There are just too many good games out and I can't have them all.

Mirror's Edge is good fun. It's a pure platformer, made modern with the 1st person view and a true 3d space to move around in. It does take some practice, though. Most of the reviews so far blast it for the trial-and-error aspect, saying it upsets the flow of the game. Apparently they've forgotten that they didn't exactly breeze through Sonic the Hedgehog the first time they played it on Genesis. A key element of the gameplay is perfecting your runs through the levels.

I picked up Animal Crossing for Wii yesterday. It's still Animal Crossing, which isn't a bad thing. I already have a triforce constellation.

And I like Fallout 3 even more each time I play.

slow gameplay, multiplayer game modes suck

I'm really used to the call of duty franchise so I base most of my personal comparisons off that. Which by the way Call of duty world at war multiplayer is sweet! Get 7 kills in a row and you get to "release the hounds" and send a pack of dogs after your enemies

I actually didn't care for Gears of War at all. I did like Call of Duty quite a bit though.

Everything out there right now is pretty lame in comparison to Fallout 3 IMO. OK, maybe not Left 4 Dead, but I haven't picked it up yet. I also want to pick up the new Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion pack.

Just installed it. I also bought myself a christmas present... (Nvidia 9800gt w/ 1024mb ddr3 and 650mhz) So far it runs fallout3 at full settings flawlessly.
