Default Funny clunking

When in auto on my dccd when backing around a tight corner I can feel a slight clunking.. When I switch to open on my dccd it goes away.. Is this normal on an 07 sti

I don't know how normal that is... but if the diff is locking around a tight corner, there will be some "clunking" around tight corners. I'm a little surprised the auto mode doesn't completely unlock the diff at low speeds, but it's likely nothing wrong with the car.

It doesn't do it every time either.. Maybe I'm just confusing the auto mode?

Mine did that too when I had the diff oil changed and the shop used the wrong stuff.

With the right oil it is now quiet in auto.

Definitely try the Subaru LSD oil. Can make a difference.
