Damn it. That blackshark video lead down a path that made me buy a TrackIR setup. Now I'm getting MS FS:X to justify it.

If you are into combat flight sims at all, try Aces High, it is an online WWII multiplayer game, I have been addicted for almost 6 years now. It supports 6 dof with track IR

I can't wait for black shark. Actually in their forums they are talking about an A-10 addon after the initial release, I want that!

TrackIR works pretty well with the latest versions of Falcon 4, too.

I own a Xbox 360, Wii, Super Nintendo, Nintendo, and an Atari. Although I'm kinda with Dean on the old games, I do get down on new one's as well. On Xbox 360 I play Halo 3 Online under the same name as here exactly as my gamertag. Used to play Forza 2 Online, but was tired of getting murked in the first corners because of someone who forgot where the brakes were or were just new and jumped straight into the online. I play Madden 08 and NCAA Football 08 also, but not so much online. Mostly Superstar and Campus Legend, and Dynasty Mode. If any of you are game for online, let me know.

I'm going to buy it later tonight.

Yay! Paying for a demo!

I wonder if my PS2 wheel will work?

Driving Force Pro? That will work. From talking to people who have it and reading/watching reviews online, people have said it's worth it. Maybe $10 too much, but it's still a good game.

I can't remember which one it is. It was the GT3 branded one, that's all I remember.

I'm picking it up later this afternoon. Sadly, I was one of those people that bought a PS3 specifically for this game, so if it's not all it's cracked up to be... anyone want to buy a ps3?

It's awesome. And it will get even more awesome as they continue to develop and update it.
And then GT5 will be out

In the meantime, don't forget GTAIV, coming out at the end of this month.

My interest in GTA is still at a about a 1 out of 10.

Don't know why I've never been able to get into them (outside of dicking around for 20 minutes in the original top-down one).

I like the music in Vice City. But I got bored of the game's plot pretty quickly. Then I got bored of just driving around terrorizing the city too. But the music was sweet.

My GT5P won't be delivered until tomorrow. I ordered the new wheel but that won't ship until the first week of may. I think the only thing that's changed since the last gen wheel is the in race adjustment knob for things like traction control and brake bias. I need to rig up a mount for it now.

So, after updating my PS3, then buying and downloading GT5P (and my roommate turning off the PS3 while I was at the meet, thus missing about 2 hours of download time) I finally got it running by about 11:30 pm, only to find there was another update for the game itself.

So, started playing at about midnight. Played till about 1 or so. Also got up early this morning and played another hour before work. Pretty damn fun. I think I need to hook my wheel up soon. Damn this autocrossing getting in the way of my pretend racing...

Yes, I can bet you it will but it may not come out for a couple of months after the initial console release. (I played Vice City and San Andreas on the PC)'

Speaking of PC ports of console games, I think I'll be picking up Mass Effect for PC. Well, assuming it doesn't run like total ass on lower systems.

Same here; I've never cared much for GTA. Though part of my distaste for the game comes from six years spent selling it to ignorant parents who, when informed that the game is likely inappropriate for their eight-year-old, merely shrug and offer some pathetic, defeatist excuse, such as, "he'll probably just see it on TV anyway. . ."

If media violence is going to bring about the downfall of society, then lazy parents are to blame.

[/rant]

In other news, the new Smash Bros is fun, and I'm partway through HL2:ep2. . . so Valve needs to hurry up with ep3.

I'm also trying for 100% achievements in Assassin's Creed, which is going to be a bitch. The flag collections are really tough. . . I swear I've searched every nook and cranny of the cities, and the remaining 20% of each flag collection must be hidden up NPCs' asses or something.
