Default Thunderhill 25 Hours

Just returned from the 25 hour at THill. Awesome race with 79 cars leaving the grid Saturday at 11AM. It was great racing weather unntil around 5PM then the drizzles started. By 10 PM there was steady rain and a nice layers of mud in all but but the narrowest part of the racing line. Nevertheless nearly half the field finished the race. My friends Miata finsihed 11th in class and 32nd overall, not bad for novice drivers and crew. They were much higher until around 3:30AM when they suffered a collision due to another driver failing to go "both feet in" and rolling across the track sideways. After switching out a lower control arm they were back in the game. Sunday dawned with light fog and decent visability. By noon Sunday a Porsche GT3 cup car took the overall win completing an amazing 751 laps over the 3 mile track.

Any news on how the Superlight C&C built did? I'm not even sure they were going to make the race start they were so far behind when I was over there getting the Outback clear-bra'd.

Yeesh. T1 is not a turn I'd want to get into a wreck at.
