Default D&D dismantler closed!

Bad news. D&D dismantler closed. i heard them talking about it at airport auto wreckers today ... they said all the cars there got crushed and sold for scrap metal. i know they had an SVX or two, at least 3 outbacks, and probably 8 GC era imprezas. i think one of their outbacks as an 02 (newer chassis)

I tried calling their number and it says disconnected. maybe I'll drive by this weekend to double verify they are indeed closed. but i've been hearing the rumor for a while now.

Did the conversation you overhear include, "...and now we can raise our already excessive prices by 100%!"?

Can't say I'm surprised. D&D never had parts I needed, because they never bought new donors, because they didn't have anything to sell me last time I needed something. Scaled up about 10,000 times of course.

That explains the truckloads of crushed cars I've been seeing leaving town this week.

Well they did have several Saturn Vues sitting there. That was nice for me because GM was kind enough to install ignitions that "just wear out" - words of wisdom from the person working at the GM dealership. It really makes sense why there is no Saturn anymore. The whole reason for buying the car was because of the 3.5l Honda engine. Everything else is literally falling apart.

I thought they were already priced for the D&D closure.. but a price hike wouldn't surprise me

.. $120 for a drive shaft from airport auto wreckers. i think D&D was $60. pick n pull is $40 .. Sigh
