Default Rattle from engine bay at 3k rpm

I have an 04sti with full invidia tbe (v3dp, n1 catback). Its been about 3000miles since i had DP put in. i now notice that when im at 3k rpm and let off the accelerator i get this loud rattle (i have a feeling it might be the heatshield, but not for sure). Wierd thing is its only at 3k rpm anything else nothing. Anybody else have this issue before? or have any other ideas what it might be? I dont think its a leak or anything because boost pressures are holding fine.

Take a look at your heat shield off the turbo around the down pipe. If its not that look under the car...When I put in my dp and catback it mated up at a little bit of an angle and was touching the heat shielding for the exhaust under the car. I had to bend it a bit.

Yeah, Mine rattles, I need to get that fixed . The clamp welds let go and it sits loose on there. Most likely your problem.

The top heatshield on the up-pipe is also a likely culprit. 2 small welds hold it in place.
