Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.
Default iPods for sale and repair locally for less (Not spam)

Prices updated 10/1/11

New and lightly used Apple iPods at rock bottom prices!!!
All A or A+ Condition!

These prices are 10% off my already low eBay and Craigslist prices. No shipping, No tax... Find a better comparable deal, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I also repair most hard disk based iPods. Screens, hard drives, click wheels, headphone jacks, hold switches... And offer some trade in value on some old/dead iPods.

A: B: C:

A. 3rd Generation Nano w/video, Pink & Silver & Green:
8Gig Lightly "used" 30 day warranty = $65

8Gig New factory "Wrap" 30 day warranty = $75
B. 5th generation Video, Black & white in most models...
30Gig Used w/certified hard drive and 30 day warranty = $75

30gig New, Still in factory wrap 30 day warranty = $90

60Gig Used w/certified hard drive and 30 day warranty = $105

80Gig Used w/certified hard drive and 30 day warranty = $120

C. 6th generation "Classic" (w/Video) The Thinnest Hard Drive iPod!!! Black Only
80Gig very lightly handled but not "used" 30 day warranty = $140

80Gig New, Still in factory "Wrap" 30 day warranty = $150.
All come with USB sync/data/charging cable and new headphones (Non-Apple. I strongly suggest you buy good headphones if you want good sound. They can be had for under $20)

It depends on what you like. I personally like the Koss in ear ones that have ear plug like foam so they isolate the sound. great for airplanes, but kind of a pain to put in.

Yes, you can spend $99 on a set of Shure\Altec Lansing\Acoustic Research ear buds, but there are decent silicone Sony/JVCs and such out there for cheap. I have a Shure wired cell phone headset that is the best I have ever used but it is mono...

Some like the OE Apples, but they are hard plastic and many dislike them for extended use and think the sound is flat or tinny...

The Best Buy page is helpful to figure out the type and range of what you might want.

I have a set of the JVC Gumys for casual listening that run $11-15 retail and they sound great and got decent reviews. Good bang for your buck. Sony also has some hybrid ear buds for $20 that I read good things about.

There are a ton of web sites that review headphones from a fit and sound perspective.

Most importantly, unless you are doing your own ripping and encoding using good SW and settings or buying from iTunes (maybe), a lot of the MP3/M4As out there are crap! No headphones will make them sound great.

(The new headphones I have for teh iPods are cheap China stuff and I admit it, but they mostly work. I won't give you any of the random crap headphones I got with the used iPods as I have no idea where they have been or condition.)

The Apple ones that come with the iPod's are great. The next I would from personal use are some of the Skullcandy ear buds. They're not $20 but you can find them for $25 on sale sometimes. Retail they're like 35-40 bucks. But they're good. And they're almost indestructible.

Thanks Dean. I don't usually research everything I buy, unless it's for my car or working out, but maybe I should start. Or just ask you about your research haha. I guess sometimes I treat this like a conversation instead of the Internet, so thanks for actually responding instead of saying "search" in the biggest font you can fit in a post

Old or New Apple ? The new in-ear ones are pretty good compared to the old buds which were pretty sad. Link

I haven't tried the skullcandy, but being old, I'd lean toward the lower end of the lines from established names like Shure/AL/AR/Sony vs. the new kids on the block.

OK, That's enough headphone discussion. Take it to another thread...

Prices lowered, updated and Bumped for the Holidays...

These prices are comparable or less than the ebay Buy It Now prices for better quality/condition and I am local! If you find a better deal on a comparable model, let me know and I will try and match or beat it.

I support what I sell and still fix all HD based models.

Have any cheap Photos? I just need something to sit on a dock in the garage with ~20gb of space. Battery doesn't matter.

I have a couple 60GB photos that would be about the same as a 30gb video. I also Also have one with a bad HD starting at about 18Gb, a 15Gb 3rd gen or a 6GB mini. Make me an offer.

Hey I have a 2nd gen 20g IPod with the buttons on top... It works but the batt is shot. I also have a 30g video that for some reason will not take a charge off of anything but the USB to CPU. I would give you the old one to fix the newer one. Or give you both for a good working unit that is able charge off my alpine head unit.

I have plenty of parts, and really have no use for a 2nd gen, sorry.

The video is likely has a bad logic board, the USB charging circuit is separate from the Firewire/non-USB wall adapter circuit. Be happy, usually they fail the other way around. Nothing I can do about it but swap the logic board, or move the HD to a new chassis.

If the 2nd gen has a dock connector, I'll give you $20 to ship it down to Sac (since Dean passed). I need one to sit in a garage dock.
