Default brake club, wheels club?

So something kinda wierd happened today. My mom comes into town and gives me some savings bonds that I got from school for chemistry and attendence! 10 year bond I got in 1995 word to your mother! $600 and there are a couple more at her house she has to find possibly a $1000 worth, what!

Anyays I was thinking about getting some 328 stoptechs, selling my stockers and using my SSR's year round with tire swap, I know, but they are pretty beat up anyways.

or.

Buy some cool(volk, gramlight, work, ssr) new wheels and tires. And I'll likely be running these new wheels through winter with all-seasons cause I'm cool like that.

muahaha.

As a normal person, I have to say you should invest it or at least save it. Maybe pay off some debt?

As a SECCS member I say reflash and a TBE. You already have nice wheels and WRX brakes are fine for most of the driving you do.

Well, your SSRs are about as good as it gets for autocross. You can't get anything more than like a pound lighter, although you can slightly wider wheels that weigh the same, namely CE28s or TE37s. But if you want to spend it on your car, I would say a new set of tires, and up/dp/reflash would be your best bang-for-the-buck, unless your brakes don't last the weekend at RFR. Then the 328 kit would be the way to go, and maybe a downpipe on top of that.

If you have any debt outstanding, go with JC's suggestion & pay it off. Otherwise, excellent brakes > more rims.

I guess I could do that. The only debt I have is my car.

I'm fine with my car as far as power goes. Power will be the last thing I do.

Like I told Scotty last night I really should be spending more dough on my car, but hey it's money I wasn't counting on. so why not blow it all.

I agree with you on saving or investing the money, however 1 $1000 payment on the car will make little difference over the long term of the loan (unless his interest rate is way high). If your savings account is low on fundage, save the cash, if you can invest it do so.

If you decide to spend the money, get the brakes

Hang on to the bonds and let'em ride. Vehicles come and go. Your future is far more important.
