Here's my post on the other thread about that car on the SVX network:

It's times like these where I wish my SVX were blue... blue on gold would be HOT! So would a pearly or black SVX on gold... someone w/ a pearly, go borrow Bwana's rims and take pics!!
I like 'em, but I think I need some Gram Lights... assuming they fit.

I'm going to have to agree with Scott. Gold on a red SVX doesn't look right for some reason.

Yeah, Red/Gold is not my favorite. Red/Bronze on the other hand...

Those BBS's in Anthracite or Bronze would be perfect for the SVX, though.

The offset on the Evo rims is to low. I'd have to stick w/ 225 width tires, and even that's pushing it. With the proper offset, I plan to run 255 width tires.

Plus the Evo rim's offset is probably bad for the wheel bearings, and SVX's are notorious for having crappy rear wheel bearings.

Trust me man... I tried to figure out a way to run those rims!

Yeah yeah, we suck...

Have fun watching your local team this season. Oh wait, that's right, you jackasses drove both of them out of town because you couldn't get 50,000 people out of the 8 million or so in the area to go to a football game every week.

okay... back on topic...

doing the math:

Since I want to run 255/40R17 tires, I have to have a 8-9" wide rim. Due to fender space and offset calcs, I can't fit anything wider than 8" in there w/o lots of fender rolling... so, I need a set of 17x8" 5x114.3 wheels w/ an offset between +45 and +50, inclusive.

Here's what I've found so far that I haven't already seen on an SVX:

Ray's Team Daytona Racing 707 - Cast 1-piece
17x8+45
MSRP $280/ea

I've got no clue where I'd ever be able to buy these, but Diamond Black or Bronze would be HOT!

MB Motorsport Weapon aka A-Tech Erasor
17x8+42
Discount Tire Direct $112/ea

They're pretty close to Gram Light 57S replicas... but the offset is pushing it so I might have to roll the fenders, and they're perpetually out of stock in that size.

Rota Action (Pic is gold, I'd get bronze or something darker)
17x7.5+48
SubyDude $162.50/ea

A little narrow for 255 width tires... and I hate paying so much for Rotas!

Rota Grid
17x7.5+48
SubyDude $162.50/ea

Again, too narrow, and I can't seem to find out if they even make a 5x114.3 P.C.D.

Rota Boost
17x8+48
SubyDude $175/ea

Not my favorite looking wheel, but it's the right size and comes in bronze.

Incestious Wheel Whores of the world unite! and find me a set of wheels for the SVX... and hurry before my snow tires wear out in this heat!

Umm, San Luis Obispo has never had a local pro football team. If you're referring to the L.A. area, I'm not sure who you're talking to cause none of us live there.

No, I think he means the local Reno teams that we used to have never ago.

Anyways, I think +42 offset with 8" wide is pushing it, but it shouldn't be that bad. The +38 offset on those Evo Enkei's wasn't so horrible (those are 8" wide, right?).

Yeah, EVO = 17x8+38.... but they only had 225 Advans on 'em... not the 255 ST-115's I plan on getting.

If that means shipping 'em from Japan on Harry's tab, don't bother. I like 'em but only because they're a cheaper version of the 57S's in the correct width/offset for the SVX. I'm not looking for expensive "y0 dawg, I got thems rims imported from Japan, so I'm like the 1st dude in America w/ a set" type rims.

I just want a dark/bronze, blocky, 7-spoke 17x8" rim that fits the SVX.
