Default Do we still meet up?

Hi there,
I came out to Tamarack Junction last Thursday (Feb 5, 2015) but couldn't find anybody. Is this still a thing?

Nick
I would like to know if anyone still meets as well. I'm new to this forum and would love to meet some local Subaru enthusiasts.

Bump! Anyone interested in setting up regular meets?

I just moved to Reno and despite the amount of modded Subarus I see, there doesn't seem to be much of a club/meet presence AFAIK.

Unfortunately, many of the the folks that used to participate here have moved on... for example, I ended up in Portland, OR a few years ago.

I'm not sure there are enough people peaking in on the forums these days to drum up support for meets. You might have better luck on Facebook or something looking for Reno Subaru enthusiasts. But if you do pick up interested people, feel free to co-opt the SECCS forums if you'd like for organizing things! It'd be cool to see a new generation of people rebooting the club.

LOL! Hope all is well with you Scott!

On a Subaru note - my '13 STI motor just blew up. Subaru is replacing it under warranty even though it is 7 years old now.

Things are good, we're up in Portland, OR--coming up on 5 years now working at Nike.

I can't believe that a) your STi motor lasted 7 years and b) Subaru is taking car of it!

No kidding! Crazy times! But thankfully it worked out. It’s now my son Bayley’s car. He’ll be 22 in September if you needed any help remembering how old you are! Would be great somehow to get the whole group for a reunion or something. Could be a tough call, but maybe at some future car event like car week in Monterey. I may have some connections for a big house.maybe 2020? Portland is awesome! I’ve been several times in the past 5 years.

Best,
Nick
