Default Headers on tomorrow

My headers finally came in. I'm getting them on tomorrow and dynoed again. I'll post the numbers tomorrow night.

I ended up getting the Gen Spec II with jetcoat.

Well the good news is the headers are on. Bad news is Nate ran out of time between the header and gauge install, so we did not dyno the car. Mike don't worry we will dyno the car before any other mods are done, so eventually I will have a number.

The sound definately changed quite a bit. It's not any quieter, but definately smoother and less drone on the highway. It lost a little of the deeper tone, so I am still getting used to it. I'm still convinced I need to either install the silencer or a resonator or someone in my neighborhood will complain. As for the butt dyno...........hard to say. I probably should have waited a little longer to get used to the most recent tune. Nate did an awesom job on the gauge install. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. By the way, my new laptop finally made it a productive day for me at SS. Any justification for mods always helps.

Not the same kit.

It's a GT30-based turbo, but it drops i on Subies instead of requiring all kinds of custom fab.

Well my exhaust being as loud as it is on the highway, I decided to try and install the silencer. It made a huge difference. The car almost sounds stock unless I floor it. Anyone want to venture to guess what the power loss is with the silencer in? It still feels really fast. I kinda miss the old sound though. I hope the dyno shows me some real gains.

are you gonna dyno with and without silencer?

I have a little silencer for my cat-back which also works very well to subdue the sound.

I probably will. I notice a ton more turbo noise with the silencer in.
