Default FWD sucks, I shoulda bought a Honda...

...yes, you read that right.

I just picked up a Toro lawnmower, and the damn thing is FWD!!? I really wanted the base-model Honda mower, but it was $100 more than the mid-range Toro I got, and I don't have enough lawn to justify that much $$ on a mower.

I didn't think the FWD would bother me, but it's friggen weird to lose traction when you push down to turn. Plus it's harder to turn while moving. It's actually very much like FWD vs RWD cars.

I, myself, may go for the no-wheel drive version. Considering I have about 1 to 2 square inches of front lawn.

RWD is the way to go. The ability to drift around my trees makes cutting my lawn a snap.

I guess, but I'm running $6.50/gal 100 octane in the mower.

Did you crank up the boost and/or advance the timing at least?

Oh, fudge. I was supposed to pick up a lawn mower on my lunch today and I totally forgot.

I'm debating whether to go with an electric mower or just a push-mower (like Nick mentioned). My lawn isn't that big but a non-push one I could use for more years if we move into a real house (or another rental house).
