I spent most of today tinkering with it to stop the overheating. I flushed the coolant again, and this time made absolutely sure there were no bubbles/ pockets in the coolant. After warming it up, I drove it for about 13 miles, and I couldn't get the temps to fluctuate. If/when I can get it to overheat again I'll check the radiator.

If I can't sell the car before hand, I would certainly be willing to sell it in the future.. haha

On another note: the insert on the passenger side rear strut seems to have wiggled itself above where the insert is supposed to seat itself. Probably just a simple fix. I'll bring the car by Kspeed. Hopefully it's just a simple adjustment.

If it has head gasket issues i'm less interested (or I'll wait until it doesn't?)

Any warranty from the place that did your motor rebuild?

Sorry everyone, I didn't have email alerts turned on, and I have been away from my computer for a few days.

The thermostat went bad. I replaced it, and I was still having issues, but the problem after replacing the thermostat was that there was an air pocket somewhere in the line. The problem has been resolved.

Alfa Subaru in Sac. This was done right before I purchased the car. The previous owner informed me that it received a new water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioners, new radiator and radiator hoses.

Yes.

I was not the owner when the rebuild was done, I received the car with 5k miles on the new rebuild. I do not believe there is a warranty for the motor rebuild. I have put about 15k miles on it since then. Considering the overheating problems have been resolved, I am very confident that the car has no headgasket issues.

Thanks everyone.

Also, I brought the car to Kspeed today. The suspension issue has been fixed. A bolt had loosened. Simple fix.

Okay I'm back to more interested... (not calling dibs if anyone else runs up to you with a pocket full of cash)

but ya... I like it. I want it.. need to figure out with the (soon to be) Wifey about getting an auto loan, and probably a test drive (though she's raced my RS 2.5, and STI, pretty sure it should feel like my 2.5, but with a seat she can slide up and reach the pedals easily) or at least a look at in person...
