Default Hello everyone

I've been a member over at legacygt.com for a while, but I heard about this from someone at I-club when I posted in the Reno/Sac section the other day. I'm from Reno but live in Santa Clara during the school year since that's where I go (SCU).

My car is an '05 Legacy GT 5MT Atlantic Blue Pearl. I'm very recently sporting Cobb Accessport Stage 2 with a Crucial Racing up-pipe, a Lachute 3" downpipe with high flow cat, and custom exhaust from there back ending in 2 Magnaflow mufflers. I'm going to get some pictures soon enough. I see you guys have weekly meetings...though I won't be able to make it this Thursday I will definitely try for next week.

Just thought I'd introduce myself, talk to you guys later and see you around.

Weston

Glad to see you made it over here. I believe Nick (nkoan) refered you to here. He's got a beautiful red LGT.

haha...well here are some bad pics of my exhuast for now. Boy was I surprised to get to my car today and see these tips!!

I asked him to order some 4" round tips and when I got there today these babies were on there. I don't really like the look at all, but it's something for people to look at in case someone else likes the style. The guy's having the real tips overnighted and they should be on my car tomorrow. The sound is awesome, by the way, but I have never uploaded a video so you may have to wait for a meet to check that out...anyway here are the "temp tips"

Welcome to the board! Nice ride, I too really want to hear what that thing sounds like w/ the dual muffler setup... I wonder if my SVX will sound similar once I get the dual exhaust on there.

Nice dude.

But, I must warn you, you're not allowed to have a cooler legacy then me

nKoan, have you done anything to your legacy yet?

by the way, I got my exhuast stuff done at Alert mufflers and they seem to have done an ok job but the service isn't great... the guy there (mark) told me today that he didn't have time to change my tips (5 minutes is how long he said it'd take)... anyone know anything about them? I'm also worried because the part of the exhaust he added sits much lower than my old pipes and looks too close to the ground, is this common or should I have him push them up or something?

Glad to be here, seems like a cool local forum with a small crowd!

...still sporting the same ugly tips blah!

Not much.

Just some suspension/handling mods like new wheels/tires and rear sway bar.

Then some ricey mods like tint, tinted tails and a shift knob.

very quick indeed, I'm looking forward to trying my hand at an STI...bet someone here can help me out with that!

Which sway bar do you have on there nkoan? I'd like to get one myself... especially since I'm hoping to get out on that track in fernley sometime soon.

tint = rice... huh? I like my tint...

tint/rice? No, not in Reno

Anyways, I think I meant just the tinted tails.

I got the Perrin bar. So far I like it.

Oh ya? Where were you? Thanks, it's surprisingly quiet on the inside, too - the perfect combo for me!

Virginia and Mt. Rose I think? 'Bout a week ago. I think I was in my RS but I might have been in my friend's old Boxster.

huh...don't remember being that far south of town recently but it's possible. I'm often down south by the Huffaker and windy hill area, though...
