Default Free Learning View of your tune

If anyone is interested in finiding out how safe their current tune is, I offer free Learning View shots of your car's current ECU "health". If you are not familiar with what Learning View is, it shows a few key items of your car's current status. (AFR learning, Fine Learned Knock Correction, CEL codes, IAM data) It does not alter your ecu in anyway, but it's good to know how your car is running. I can meet up on Friday evenings and on Saturdays. If several people want to have their car's looked at, no problem. It only takes 30 seconds to check. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. If this post is in the wrong place, I appologize. Feel free to ask questions if you have them. Thanks.

Logan

There are only a few NA ECU's that can be read...I do not see the 01 2.5RS on the list. Your STi is compatable, as is every 02+ turbo Suby.

Unfortunatly, the pre-2005 2.5RS is not compatable with Learning View (only DBW 2.5RS is supported). ^ Kevin's option will probably be your best bet.

Here is a before and after LV shot of a 2002 WRX I'm tuning. His idle AFR numbers are a bit high from a leak in his up pipe. The top is before, the bottom after.

Since my last custom tune, I've added a Perrin turbo inlet and I'll add some new P 'n P'd headers at some point. After I added the inlet, I logged some pulls with ECUExplorer and my tuner said it looked fine. I should probably take you up on this after adding the headers and putting some miles on eh?

Edit: I also replaced the turbo with a another used TD04 stocker. That shouldn't matter right?

Replacing your td-04 with another shouldn't matter. If you logged after the mentioned modifications and your tuner said the logs were still good, that's good news. If you are logging yourself you can download learning view off of romraider's website and use your openport cable. I would be more than happy to look at your learning view. Either way, let me know.

Can you use the AccessPORT Version 1 cable with Learning View? That's what I use with ECUExplorer.

Learning View is a stand alone program. It will work with various version's of Tactrix/Openport cables, but I do not think the AP version 1 will allow you to read the data from your OBD-II port to your laptop.

Did some searching. LV may work with APv1 cable even though RR won't. Can't hurt to download it and try.

Delta dash would be good. pm me how much por favor.

did a standard ODB2 code read last night. knock sensor (always have that.. maybe i have a bad knock sensor) the skid plate touches the headers, so we think that's the problem.. gonna drive around with no skid plate to check.

and i had a cat inefficiency code, which i thought was a beat up cat... but Tom spotted the 2nd O2 sensor came unplugged. lol

You'll probably throw the p0420 code even with the rear o2 sensor in, if you have an aftermarket downpipe. If it's stock, it's probably the sensor

Yep I Do have a p0420, i thought with a cat in between the two sensors i wouldn't get that .. ?

hopefully its not much of an issue if/when i need to smog the car. i can claim OD1 and force the tail pipe sniffer and I should pass that. ( i think)

my last motor + exhaust did not throw a cat code 93' 1.8L with a summit hi flow , and an O2 after the cat.

It's a 2.5 swap into an L, but essentially, yes.

Everybody's RS throws P0420 when you look at it funny, except for Cory's. You'll learn the art of resetting the ECU and driving just enough to set all the OBDII monitors except the catalyst and smog it before the code throws again.

ya on my RS P0420 (probably damaged cat) , and I get a knock code constantly. I need to drive around with the skid plate off to see if that's the cause. but i Ruined my exhaust (and a strut) at Gorman so I won't be driving it around until i can do something about my exhaust.

That knock code is a big deal. When the ECU think's there's knock (or something wrong with the sensor) it pulls lots of timing. That code costs you power. P0420 just makes it a pain to smog.

that makes sense with my "butt" tells me. every time we clear the code at service the car feels noticeably stronger than when i left service. I need to start with driving with out the skid plate to see if that's the issue, but my exhaust is a bit ruined at the moment...
