Default I think an Isuzu VehiCROSS would make...

...for an awesome winter beater.

Anyone know anything about them? I hear they're Rodeo's under the skin, with much better suspension and a great electronic AWD system for the street, plus a good old transfer case 4WD for off-road. Plus, they're class winners at Dakar!

All I know is that they look goofy.

Goofy in a good way. Not in an Aztek way.

I kinda dig the two-tone of white on black... but the color really doesn't matter much, as the styling is so distinct, no matter the color the vehicle sticks out like a sore thumb.

Too bad there are none for sale around Reno according to AutoTrader. Looks like they sell for around $10k, +/- $3,000 depending on mileage. Probably a little pricey considering an old Outback sport is just as capable in the snow, has more room, and gets better mileage, and is probably more reliable and cheaper to own, for less than half the price of a VehiCROSS.

Yah, white on black looks good too. Paying for exclusivity sucks.

There's a modded one parked near the Men's warehouse on McCarran and South Virginia. You should go talk to the guy, I think he needs friends.

Yeah. I've got a thing for ugly cars. I like the SVX, the BMW M Coupe, WRXs, Saabs... and this VehiCROSS abortion.

I see a beat to hell one around here quite a bit. I'll be sure to take a second look through the dusty windows for a for sale sign next time.

The first house on California street that overlooks Reno High School, used to always have a silver and black one parked out front. Wouldn't surprise me if it was still there. Its the castle-ish looking one with all the overgrown vegetation.

I saw one of the yellow ones today in Rancho, in perfect condition. Not for sale, though.
I love these trucks.

They've had that thing for a long time then. I used to see it when I was in Reno on my commute in 2004 and i thought I remember seeing it earlier this year too.

Memories!!!!
On another note, I'm coming up to Reno this Sunday. Gonna bring the new "horse" up.

Your value was low before, now you've gone and hit rock-bottom.

I hope to see sperry driving around in a Vehicross soon, cell phone to his ear and a plate that says:
"GOFRSPRY" Then the true lameness of this vehicle would be realized.

That's too many letters... but GO4SPRY works.

...then again, people would always be asking me "what's gopher spray do?"

Okay, I saw a white one today near Scolaris. It's not as terribly gay as I thought. Could be fun.

Meh. If I could find one for dirt cheap I might... but really with the way the economy is eating itself, I'm not all that excited in blowing money on yet another car, and I can't see getting rid of the SVX or the WRX for an Isuzu.
