Default WTB: Help Moving

I'm moving from my house in Stead to a new place in NW Reno. I'm planning to rent a Uhaul and move most of my stuff next Thursday, the 5th. I'll probably only really need help for an hour or two...loading and unloading the heavy furniture, but I could use help for longer if you'd like. I'll pay $15 for the first hour and $12/hour after that. One person helping me should be enough, but maybe two for a bit less money/hour. I'd prefer if you could start around noon, but I might be able to wait until the evening if nobody has the day off work. Should be easy money.

I probably would have helped for pizza and gas but would take the cash. Can bring the truck. Could use the trailer but would have to unload the Mercury.

Alex has a trailor we could use, but if there's any chance of rain or snow, I'm leaning toward renting a big Budget rental moving truck.

Rent one gigantic truck. Load up early in the day, take a few hours break, then unload it all in the late afternoon/evening. Remember to get all the furniture and bigger items in the house before all the boxes.

You mean to get all the bigger items in the truck first right?

Nope. But that is probably helpful.

Dean, do you have a dolly or moving blankets? I think we have a normal dolly at work I can borrow, but to move the fridge, I'm thinking of renting an appliance dolly if you don't have one. Looks like a 24' truck will only cost $100 (plus diesel) so I think I'll just do that.

Please bring them. I'll just rent the blankets, the appliance dolly, and the truck.

Hand truck should handle most appliances unless you have some industrial appliances. I also have a laundry basket full of towels I use to move stuff in my truck.

My fridge is full size. That's the one thing I was thinking we'd need it for.
