wow. they go through spots like there isn't anyone there.
I wonder if its second nature to them or if they get an adrenaline rush from it. Scary stuff.

Is it bad that I found myself picking holes in the traffic I would have gone through instead while watching that?

That's hardcore. You can pick a part their technique and one-up them.
Good stuff.

Definitely some better holes than they chose. That last move behind the crane was damn close... There were a couple good 5-10 car pileups in there if another driver had changed lanes. This is just plain not a good idea.

Do not mistake dumb luck for skill. On a track, you have a fair idea what others around you might do. On the Freeway, it is a crap shoot, or worse, Russian rulette with 5 live rounds. On a track, there are no moving objects that weigh 5-50 times as much as you, that you can easily end up underneath, or run over by.

I bet if the cameras had survived, there would be any number of videos that don't end so calmly.

That's clearly the result of:

1) Not enough video games

or

2) Too many video games

Those idiots were trying to get people killed.

Normally I don't take this attitude - but that video could have been staged. Have a bunch of your friends get out on the freeway going about 40mph, leaving at least 1 car length in-between and you could get results like that.

Today, I'm just having that attitude about not believing everything I see on the internet.

They would sure need a lot of friends to accomplish that.

Right. After a few years of driving for a living, I came up with this axiom that it takes 2 mistakes in order for a typical accident to happen. Not anticipating and allowing for somebody else's mistake counts as mistake #2.

Yeah, several hundred.
Plus that traffic was going certainly faster then 40, and the racers were hitting 100+ in the breaks between traffic pretty easily.

The only way that was staged was if it was part of a full-scale movie production. In which case, it could have been a practice run or something... but I'm included to believe it really was a pair of jack-holes driving like idiots.... evn if they're capable idiots.

It's also Germany, where presumably more people actually know how to drive. Still stupid.

If that were the case, the left 1-2 lanes of the 4 would be clear of all but people going pretty fast themselves, and these guys could have just flown down the fast lane.

NOT!

Left two lanes full of Dorks just like the US... Stupidity = Entropy/Chaos... It's everywhere, and growing.

I must admit, I "parted the waters" once, squeezing between two cars in their assigned lanes, and that was pretty hairy, I was dumb and it was a long time ago...the shoulder is a much better place for overtaking...
