I want flares on my wagon so bad. Stupid rear doors. I might just weld them shut.

I thought about that as well. Trying to figure something out though.

Just cut the flares along your door lines... Or track down some pre-cut Lexus IS flares. Problem solved. Retaining the back seat ftw.

On another note, this happened:

Backing plates came raw, so waiting on paint to dry to install lower legs, hardware for belt towers to install those, and ability to jack up rear for rear legs.

Took longer to remove the style bar to install a bar that's caused everyone major fitment and installation issues. I have about three hours in the whole project so far, two on the stupid style bar.

Keep me updated. I just know I'd screw up molding stuff.

That was my original plan to cut them, but haven't found a good set that fits right. (side note I might have some that would fit your miata if you are interested) The IS 300 ones are a bit hard to find too, and they still require some decent modification for the rears to fit right. I found some, and sent some messages to the company for some measurements, but they did not reply and have a pretty big restocking fee if returned so I didn't want to take the chance of just ordering them.

Need to track down the build on Nasioc or iwsti that had the IS flare conversion. Turned out clean.

Was planning to go with Autokonexion Miata specific flares when funds permitted, but basically out of funds til I sell something if you picked up some that don't work, let me know what you need out of them.

Ya it's on Nasioc. That guy Gold Rush. They don't make those flares anymore, and he had to do some modifications to the door to make them work too.

What are you trying to run that'd need flares? I think Karlton was talking about making some wagon flares at one point, but his are excessively pricey. I honestly still like the stock fender lines of the GD wagon and sedan and wouldn't want flares unless I was running some 285+ slicks. You stepping up the game?

Kevin and I are both on 17X8.5 Volk CE28N +44. And knowing Kevin, he want's to go wider.

I'm on wide 255s and they only rub a tiny bit when I have a lot of weight in the back, so I'm pretty happy considering my soft suspension setup. The thing is, I made one of my fenders pretty ugly when I "pulled" them. The metal was brittle and I was learning as I went. It's not that bad, but I just like the look of the black flares on Gold Rush's car.
