That's the best slogan ever, when you realize that GE manufactures nuclear weapons for the DOD.

Ed, we've already made the order with the printer, but if you look at sperry's above post, we ordered extras. I'll be sure to allocate you one of the spare smalls.

Also, just so everyone knows these are going to be for pickup only. Unless you have a doctors note for agoraphobia*, they will be available to pickup only at the SECCS meets after we get them from the printer.

The main exception will be the Sac people. I will probably make one trip down to Sac some weekend after they come in.

*Please bring doctors note to the meet for verification

They should have started printing today. Probably in a week or two we'll have the order completed, depending on how busy the shop is right now.

Just a heads up:

I still don't have a final price from the printers, but as soon as I get it, I'd like to start taking payments for the pre-orders via PayPal.

But isn't that just giving away 3% of the price?

Or you can add $10 to each order for "processing fees" to have me deal with floating $3000 while I wait on people's checks to clear.

It's not like we can take credit cards... so it's PayPal, checks, or cash. And in general, I don't like taking cash because there's no paper trail for our record keeping unless we dig up a receipt book.

We've been doing this for 5 years now, PayPal is the most convenient for everyone involved, to the point where the 3% cost is worth it.

Okay, mine will probably gather some dust until I manage to show up at a meet.

When/where should I send my payment? Any chance they'll be ready for this Thursday's meet?

Good News!

I just talked with the printers and the hoodies will be done this afternoon, in time for tonights meet! The price came in under what we were expecting, so the hoodies are going to be only $35/each, instead of the $40 we were expecting.

If you'd like to PayPal your payment, our paypal address is paypal@seccs.org. Or if you'd like to pay at the meet tonight, we'd prefer a check made out to SECCS, but we will take cash as well. I'm gonna have to go scrounge up our receipt book.

So, hoodies at tonight's meet! Come on out if you'd like yours before Christmas! For those people out of town, we will be sending all the Sac orders down hopefully next week (at the very least I can get them as far as Colfax the weekend after Xmas if no one else is going all the way to Sac for the holidays). For others, we can probably arrange for shipping on a per-person basis, but if you can come out to a meet, we'll have your hoodie waiting!

I'm working tonight but will be going to Roseville Friday afternoon. If somebody could meet in Truckee, I could drop them off with somebody in Roseville area. Let my know if I can help.
