Default rs exhaust

Hey probably a stupid question but I can't find a reall answer I just bought a 07 rs as a second car would like to put a nicer axle back exhaust if I got a sti exhaust do I have to have it modified to fit

Yes, you'll have to have the flange that bolts to the midpipe rotated. There's also an exhaust hanger that needs to be modified, but it won't hurt anything to just leave it the way it is. Any exhaust shop can take care of it for you real cheap.

Oh not to bad thanks. Is there any good sites or brands that sell axle back exhaust they are hard to find

Not really. There's just not much market for NA mods. I would just go with a WRX aftermarket exhaust and make modifications as needed to make it fit.

one more question my friend has an 06 rs and he runs it it no muffler i told him it coulod hurt his engine and he said it was an old wise tale. maybe u guys can clear this up for us is it bad to run no axle back

Nah, it's no problem for the engine. Just loud and annoying to your neighbors.

hey i found good condition used borla headers from an 05 rs will they fit on an 06 2.5i or do they need to be modded

You'll need a catpipe from an 05 or earlier RS for the headers to work. That is a good price for the headers tho

So I ordered the headers is it just the flang that's not going to work or is it the whole set up. If so does anyone have a stock rs cat system I can buy

Get an aftermarket high flow cat or trackpipe. Go to Nasioc and/or rs25.com, all your questions will be answered
