Default R I P

sitting at a light on mccarran last tuesday.

drunk driver not paying attention to traffic or his surroundings.

hit me in the arse going 50+ mph. i flew forward and took out 3 lexi (multiple lexuses) and a kia. its a very sad week for me. over 300 personal hours and 27000 dollars in parts in my poor destroyed baby.

he hit me so hard in the rear that it split my subwoofer box in two pieces. i have major whiplash and yet another concussion.

just needed to vent my sadness somewhere.

Son of a bitch man... I hate to see that car go. Probably the most impressive STi I've seen in person. Hopefully you get first crack at his insurance, because I highly doubt he has the coverage for all of you...

Was this at the W. McCarran and I-80W intersection? If it was I drove by and saw a black Impreza (didn't look for long, didn't want to add to problem) that was crunched up badly and the driver was getting help. I also saw a few Lexus's and a Kia off to the side.

Glad to see you made it out alive, Subaru's really are safe cars and it look like this one did a good job protecting you. It's got to hurt with how much you put in to the car but at least that stuff can be replaced, you can't

It pains me to see pictures like these(of Subarus) especially when it's a Members vehicle. sorry to hear of this Phil. Get better soon so you can go car shopping again. (I know you'll miss her)

I think the only time I have seen your car was at night because I remember the ccfl headlights. The guy had insurance I hope? If so you need to jump on that like Kevin said before all the lexus owners start calling.

Sorry to hear that. Glad it was not far worse for you though.

On the parts and insurance side... Just a couple thoughts.

See if you can get it powered up long enough to unmarry the AP. I think you have one. Pull the fuel pump relay first should help. If they won't let you, pull the ECU and do it in another '05 if you can. Somebody should let you use their car for 1/2 an hour.

If it sounds like there is not enough money to go around, see if you can get any of your parts off. Wrecking yard my not want to give you access, but push hard...

Maybe this is the opportunity to skip Meth next time so you can come out and drive with us. That's as close to a silver lining I can offer.

Freaky! It's scary to think how often this kind of shit happens. I hope it works out to be a blessing in disguise somehow...or to have at least some silver lining.

This is why I hate people who drive drunk.

They ruin beautiful things, like cars, and peoples lives...

I'm missing the blessing in disguise part. Phil's car was one of the best around... tons of performance with show car quality looks and it wasn't tacky even while being nearly over the top.

It hurts to see all that great work trashed by someone's terrible decision. Hopefully that jackhole gets some good prison time over this.

At least he's alive and (relatively) okay. That's really all that matters. It was just a car.

True.

But Cody was implying there was some good to come from the wreck. All I'm seeing is that at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been. But that's not silver lining... still nothing good comes from this. Even if Phil heals fully, even if he gets totally comped for the car via insurance, he's still out all the labor, and the car is still in a scrap heap.

i really thank you all for the compliments... i didnt really know you all thought so highly of my scooby. it makes me feel a little better.

its a total as of today according to three different adjusters and an appraiser. the best part is not only am i going to get paid for 70% of the aftermarket parts because of my rider. but i can strip off any and all parts i want to sell or whatever. so if any of you are interested in anything i had shoot me a pm or a phone call. 229 2699 dont block your number or if you do leave me a message.

as far as personal damage goes i was the only one that went to the hospital. i wont post all the damage cause my lawyer would probably go into fits admiting whats wrong. but ill just say im laid up pretty bad. staying in bed everyday resting my neck. everything above my waist is hammer wrecked. if i hadnt been wearing my 4 point racing harness i would be dead. almost 100%

the most depressing thing is exactly what sperry said. all my labor. its all out the window. i may have 27k in reciepts for all the parts BUT since i did 98% of the labor myself... i get the shaft on that.

thanks guys for your best wishes.
