Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.
Default Ultimate Frisbee

I know Tyson is a Disc Golfer, but there is an article in Today's RGJ's Neighborhoods section about a local Ultimate league.

I haven't played since college, but was thinking about checking it out...

They play each Tuesday through Oct. 21 at 6:30Pm at at Idlewild...

Anybody else interested?

Heh, I've been playing with that group since....oh.....circa 2001. I sacrificed one knee already, and I was playing again this season, but it started feeling wobbly again, so I stopped.

I set up the original Yahoo group for them, I think I'm still the owner.

So, you are saying it is a pretty good group since it has you in it?

I don't expect to play, but any interest in going out to watch or hang out next Tues?

Well, part of the long-term core set involves several players from Donner Party, who won Worlds 3 years in a row.

The whole thing is pretty big now, with a serious cross-section of experience.

Not sure what you are saying...

Are you saying they are all ultra serious, or that there are a bunch of different experience levels and all are welcome?

Or, are you saying old farts who haven't played for 20 years aren't allowed to even watch???

No, no, everyone can play pickup on Saturdays, and you will see old farts playing League nights too....

They have leagues?

I thought the game of frisbee was invented for lazy stoners...

If you don't own a Discraft Ultrastar 175g, you are nobody. I mean, a bowler-in-training.

Now wait a minute... Some of us old folk can't lift that much disc and have to use vintage 165g masters.

OK, OK, but what color? White is classic, Glow in the Dark is cool if you are 12, but there are soooo many others...

Well, I prefer the white, green, and bright red. We could get them with the SECCS logo if we ordered enough, lol.

I like the red. Reminds me of my old WRX. Any chance they are available locally? No go at ToysRUs...

So, you are still the admin... hahahahaha Glad I didn't say anything bad about you...

I have 8 other discs I don't use. 1 red one should be fine if you are ordering some. I should order some Golf ones as well so Tyson doesn't laugh at me if we ever play, but wouldn't know what to buy. Maybe next year...

Yeah, I have only one golf disc, the rest of the time I play with an Ultrastar, just cause I know how it flies. Not that I play much golf.

I think I have a ultrastarr, discraft makes good disc golf ones as well.

Innova makes the best golf discs.
