Cory, just put a 4g63 in it.
Default interested in fender rolling?

how many people would be interested in or need their fenders rolled?

we were thinking of getting a roller and heat gun for the garage but if no one is going to use it i dont see a reason to buy it.

its $50 a pop to rent or $250 to buy w/ a heat gun...

this is the one we are thinking of getting.

If you ask nice, the Sybir-SECCS one is $20 to rent of which $10 goes to the club. I believe that is the exact model. A bunch of us have heat guns.

P.S. Sybir-SECCS... I didn't realize it until after I reread the sentence.

Yes, but on a sedan, unless you are going over 235s and/or have <45mm offset, you may not need it.

If RE01R's are even a mm wider than RT615's (both 225/45/17), I will be interested.

Noone wants the cybersex fender roller!

Anyways, yeah, mine is an Eastwood. They're very handy to have around, but keep in mind it's pretty much a one or two-time use on a given car, unlike most tools yiou can use for maintenance. I have one because we needed one for race prep, and I loan it out pretty much whenever because it puts a few bucks in the club coffers and then covers gas for meeting up with whoever's running to or from Reno; I recouped the cost on it a while back.

That said, $250 is a smoking deal on one. We paid $400 for just the roller years and years ago. If you're going to be building cars and you're going to have friends over working on theirs, it can be pretty handy to have around. It definitely takes some finesse, so practice on something beaterish if you can (I practiced on my wagon, lol).

BTW, Aaron's fender rolling tool is in my garage, and I must say that it is a damn good piece of work. You just have to remember to USE HEAT AND GO SLOW. I rushed on the driver's side like a dummy and cracked the paint, but I used the heat gun on the passenger side and it worked like a dream.

I've been debating purchasing another roller, just to say that I have one, now that they're down to $250 I'm sure that it'll last forever and I'll have plenty more cars with fenders to roll

I went over a bump the other day and it let me know that I needed it. Especially on the side that is out of alignment. I thought I ripped my fender out but all is well. Speaking of which, that should all be fixed shortly.

Wait until after you get your new supsension in and the alignment done before you decide you need to roll them. :twocents:

Who needs fender liners anywho? But seriously, rolling my fenders was the last thing I did to get my tires to stop rubbing. But then I was dumb and got WIDER tires. Oh well.
