So I was supposed to get a cyst removed yesterday but it ruptured on it own but I do have to get my tonsils out

It's okay...I just gotta wait about 2 weeks till the surgery then i'll be in hell for about a week then i'll feel so much better! I can't wait to start feeling better again. It's been like this since January

Two of three, here. No appendix left. It exploded when I was 16 and caused grievous internal harm.

I got my tonsils out last summer. Ice cream gets old hella fast. I actually had one of my tonsils rupture. Waking up in the middle of the night with a mouthful of blood is TITS! But the day it happened I was up and moving around a lot so I think that had something to do with it. So my advice is STAY PUT! Get bed ridden and have Nick take care of you. Ensure's make for good between meal supplements too. Make sure to get you daily calorie intake. I lost 15 pounds in two weeks! I don't think you have 15 pounds to lose...

I hope I didn't scare you too much.

Thanks! Nick's sister got her's out in December and she dropped to 80 pounds. I hope I don't lose too much weight...I would be a stick.
I can't have ice cream but I can have sorbet!!

Yeah I will...the surgery isn't till the 28th so I gotta wait about 3 weeks

When I had my wisdom teeth out (did all 4 at once, but still not quite as big a deal as a tonsillectomy) I was at Laguna Seca the next day 'cause AtomicLabMonkey was driving at the Skip Barber school. I actually felt really good right after surgery. It wasn't until about 2 days later that I started feeling like crap... 'course that was mostly because I went all dry-socket on one of 'em from talking and eating like normal immediately after the procedure.

So, listen to the doctor and take it easy. I'm a 'tard and decided that the doctor was an idiot 'cause I felt just fine the day after the teeth came out. It takes a day before all the swelling and pain kicks in.

i'm afraid of how much pain im gonna be in. People ive talked to say they feel like they are in hell the first week and can't really eat.

Stay on a STRICT medication schedule. I was taking my liquid hydrocodone every 3 hours. Even if was sleeping I'd set an alarm to wake up and take it and go back to sleep.

Did your cheeks swell up? Where are the pictures of that!?

I got all 4 of my wisdoms out at the same time. That was... interesting. Excluding getting up to pee and waking up in pain to take medicine I slept for like 32 hours straight.
