Default Ken Block?

Am I the only one who thinks this guy sucks? The other week I had to listen to a couple of people go on, and on about how awesome his "Gymkhana" video was, and what an impressive driver he is. Why? I don't get it. After an entire day of filming that damn video he couldn't even come up with 6 min. of him not hitting anything, nor could he stay on the track.

Now alot of people are going to say, "You can't do it". I respond with, "How do you know."

I think Ken Block is a tool.

Anybody that can convince other people to pay them to drive gets my vote as fairly cool.

I'd love to have that car and the time to practice to do what he does. I could probably do much if not all of it with enough practice.

But I don't, and I don't, so watching him do it is pretty cool.

I like Travis better though. [Puts on Nomex for pending Pastrana flames]

I think it was two entire days of filming. Was it a fun vid to watch? Yes. Is Ken Block awesome? Who cares. I'm just glad your thread inspired me to surf Youtube for his vids.

All I know is that video is great. I don't care if it took him 9 weeks to film, it was entertaining. The driving in it would be praise worthy if is was a single take, but I'm pretty sure anyone with a lot of practice and enough film time would be able to pull that off eventually but that doesn't really say anything about whether or not Ken's a tool.

So as far as Ken Block personally... have you seen his 70' pron star mustache? That's pretty awesome. But I don't know the guy personally... so I can't comment on his tool status.

I have no issues with Ken Block, he made a bunch of money by starting a shoe company from nothing, and now is living out his dreams . Seems like an okay guy to me.

Exactly.

He's maybe not the best driver in the world, but he did build a shoe company out of nothing, and used it (and other sponsorship contacts) to start pursuing life's more exciting hobbies. Better than tennis and crumpets.

He just annoys me. I'd like to create a formula that will turn his blood into a flammable liquid, then burn him alive from the inside out.

That is one of the funnier things I have heard/read in a long time

That being said he is living his dream and helped try to put rally cross on the map in the US...

Bob I know I met you before. I think it was at the autocross at Squaw a couple years back.

Man what's up?. Reading that quote (post 8 above), your signature and your avatar have me scared! I'm not rich, I went to college in Providence RI so I was exposed to a ton of Poe and I like fire; but those three together are definately interesting...............props!
