Just be glad you don't have bugeye headlights.

It is pretty crazy that the lines aren't easier to see and they can't put reflective thingys because they'd scrape up when they clear snow. CA uses a machine that recesses the reflectors below the surface, but I'm assuming NV is too cheap for that.

they do have those long sticks on the side of the road a least on mt rose they do.

The long sticks show the snow plows where clear to but don't help much when you're having trouble staying in your lane. The rumble strips help though.

If your not likin your lights or not thinkin there bright enough just go out and buy some hella 500s there super bright and I love them. Plus if u have a bugeye they fit in your foglight housin. That's where I got mine

Hella 500's, Hella projector fogs, and STi projectors wired so the highs and lows are on at the same time = plenty of light for driving in the mountains.

While I wouldn't mind brigher fogs, I refuse to use them as driving lights. They're supposed to be low and aimed low for...fog. And I'm not really willing to add lights since it would likely screw up air flow to the scoop. Obvisouly EDM bugeye lights would be ideal, but I'm not dropping a grand for lights. I upgraded from the NAPA high performance bulbs to GE Nighthawks and it helped a good deal. I'm also planning to wetsand the lenses and then hit them with some Plasti-X.

The Hella 500 driving lamps in the fog holes made a night and day (pun intended) difference in visibility on my car. You don't aim them low, you aim them properly for use as driving lights. Certainly, you can't use them when there's oncoming traffic (mine were wired to come on only w/ the hi-beams anyway), but they're terrific when you kick them on. Plus, the 500's are relatively cheap.

Also, I don't agree regarding added lights screwing up the air to the scoop. A round lamp on a light-bar out in front of the bumper should not have a significant affect on the air flowing over the hood... at least not significant enough to cause intercooler issues. Even with the spill/turbulence off the lamps, there's still going to be air directly entering the scoop. The scoop does not rely on laminar flow up the hood to function... it's not a NACA duct or something... it's a scoop.

I have no problem with the high beams on. The only time I've wished I had better lights is when driving on I80 West of town with only a 3 foot high piece of K rail seperating the oncoming lane from mine. I'm being blinded by oncoming lights and therfore my low beams really don't cut it. Add some poor viability and poorly painted lines/no reflectors on the road, and I have to drive under the speed limit to feel safe in some spots.

It's funny, Alex was just telling me that I need to add some driving lights too.

Well, if your issue is only with the low beams, your only real option is to source some EDM projectors, and toss some HID's in them. Or go even more custom and gut some stock lights and mount some Acura HID projectors or something behind them.

Yah, I've seen the HID conversion where you put little HID housings from an Acura or whatever inside bugeye housings. I hope to see a group by from a vendor like Lightwerks or something some time on a finished plug n play product.

A plug-n-play Acura projector setup will likely cost a bunch more than the factory EDM projectors plus some HID bulbs. Aren't those Acura projectors expensive as hell w/o all the custom work for the bugeye housings?
