The fuel pump assy from the 07 sti bolted right into my 02 wagon. The fuel pump subharness was different and I had to drop the tank to install the wiring.

If you have to drop it, just swap it. Unless it is damaged, no reason not to use the newer tank. Might have more internal baffles and such anyway.

I have read nothing that says the 05 fuel pump will not just drop into the 02. When are you getting the new bell housing?

I'm not sure if the wiring on the 05 is different, he may not have to drop it. It was just a heads up because mine was different.

I thought the '04+ cars used a different, smaller connector than the '02-'03 cars. I know I've got a big old connector on the passenger side of the trunk in my '02 that I have to disconnect if I want to crank the motor w/o fuel pressure. I though it was in '04 that they started using a smaller connector, which implies the different wiring harness.

Either way, the fuel pumps themselves should all be the same. It's just a question of which harness to use. Personally, I'd just leave the existing tank and wiring harness and install a Walbro in the tank.

I am using the 05 harness anyways so i mind as well just swap the tank to be safe. I have the parts so why not use them. As far as parts it looks like i have everything for the swap now so i should be starting this weekend!

I have not been doing much work on the car the last week but I am going to try and get out into the garage today. I have Everything I need for the tranny swap now so I hopefully that will be done tonight. Three of the wheels I had were painted gloss black so I used aircraft remover. The stuff work really well!

I feel like a bum. I am working in Winnemucca today but my family will be gone tonight so I would be happy to come over and do some work this time.

I looked into that lip some time ago and there are 2 places(sellers) that people on nasioc recommended.
Bayson R motorsports
JNA Performance

I guess Bayson R is no longer on ebay but will still give you the ebay price if you ask for it? Here is a thread on nasioc with a picture of someones Bayson R lip.

Default MARMOTS03 wrx swapped sti

There is nothing wrong with the ebay exhausts for these cars, Ive had 2, and know several othes that do. But it is nice to keep stuff in the club I guess. Petes done atleast 1 WRX exhaust install, so hes got it covered.

Sakast I hope you die.

Anyways, that ebay lip is cool, if only you could get it without that shipping price.

so what about the scrap body, do you have a place that will take it complete? when i chop cars it usually ends up being a full wasted day of runs to the dump and 2 contact tips for the plasma.
